Pilates Private Instruction

"In 10 sessions you'll feel the difference, in 20 sessions you'll see the difference, and in 30 sessions you'll have a whole new body." ~Joseph Pilates

Pilates is a form of muscular conditioning that focuses on the body’s core strength or ‘Powerhouse’ – the muscles closest to the spine, deepest to the rib cage and within the pelvic floor. By working the body from this core connection, Pilates brings the body into balance, increases overall strength, improves flexibility and promotes good posture. It is an efficient, sustainable and restorative workout. Pilates focuses on total mind-body integration encouraging practioners to be mindful of each move. Pilate’s founder, Joseph Pilates, asserted, “It is the mind that shapes the body.”

Pilates is perfect for adults of all ages and all levels of fitness. It can prevent injury and damage caused by everyday activities including other forms of exercise that can strain the body. Because less time is required, Pilates is an efficient way to develop and maintain one’s fitness routine, improving overall physical performance. The philosophy behind Pilates can be used in your daily life, leading to a lifetime of well-being.

Pilates Reformer

Pilates is a powerful movement modality. In order to unleash the full potential of Pilates , practice is key. Clients are encouraged to attend class consistently, two to three times a week, and our well-equipped studio makes it easy to get started. Pilates is performed on unique equipment designed to provide support and resistance with precision. This work is done under the careful supervision of certified instructors who pass down their knowledge with skill and enthusiasm.

New clients are required to begin with one-on-one instruction to assess their specific needs and fitness goals ,while at the same time, introduce and instruct the client on a full range of Pilates apparatus including the Reformer, Wunda Chair, and Ladder Barrel. Ultimately, these customized sessions serve as a great introduction to the Pilates method and maximize the benefits of the method through a greater understanding of the Pilates principles. After participating in a series of three to five privates or semi-private sessions, you are more comfortable and prepared for a Pilates group class. Progression to group classes are under the sole discretion of the studio and its instructors.

Group classes give an opportunity to obtain a thorough workout on Pilates apparatus at an affordable rate. Before being permitted to a group class clients will be required to complete a series of private sessions and must show competency in technique and a clear understanding and integration of the Pilates principles. Group classes are designed for injury free individuals looking for a full body workout.

By staying committed to the highest quality of teaching and by offering exceptional value, our clients have an opportunity to partake in the Pilates method. Call the studio today to schedule an appointment or inquire about the class schedule.
