A couple of my friends did Xtend Barre for a few months and their results were amazing!
I was the softball girl growing up, never the dancer, so I knew I wouldn’t be very graceful going into this. However, their results inspired me to get into the studio.
Centered’s website is very user-friendly, providing explanations of the classes as well as the class schedule for the month. In May 2013, I walked into Centered ready to take on Xtend Barre! Both the owner and the instructor came over to introduce themselves and immediately I felt welcomed.
At age 31, I was learning ballet moves for the first time! Xtend Barre is a full body workout, incorporating light weights, cardio, and core-strengthening/abs. I have been doing Xtend Barre 4-5 times per week for 6 weeks and each class is different. I started to see improvement (with my grace haha) after a week! Not only have I become stronger, but more flexible and my posture has improved. Sidenote: When we stretch, I can now reach my nose to my thighs!
Centered not only offers Xtend Barre, but also Xtend Stick, TRX, and Reformer Pilates. Recently, I decided to try TRX and Reformer Pilates in addition to Barre. WOW! I hadn’t taken either class before and the instructors were very patient. They showed modifications for different moves and tailor the workout to you and your abilities. I am very proud to say that I am now taking TRX, Reformer Pilates, and Xtend Barre at Centered.
I am so happy I found a place that is welcoming to people of all ages, shapes, and sizes. I never imagined the day would come where I actually enjoy working out. That day has come though! I look forward to my classes every single day! Thank you, Centered, for helping me get that much closer to my fitness goals!
